RSVP provides service opportunities for those who want to make a difference in their communities while maintaining the flexibility to decide who and how frequently they serve.
Why Should I Join RSVP? There are many reasons to join RSVP.
By joining RSVP you receive free supplemental insurance, which will cover any incremental costs not covered by your own insurance if you are injured while doing volunteer work scheduled through the RSVP office.
RSVP matches the interests and life experiences of seniors age 55 and older with the volunteer opportunities in the community.
RSVP serves as a link to over 40 volunteer sites or stations throughout the Opportunities 7 county area.
RSVP provides recognition to the volunteers for their efforts in the community.
Volunteer hours are reported to the State and Federal Government to help obtain grants which fund the program. These grant dollars provide further opportunities for growth in our communities!
You have an opportunity through RSVP to utilize your knowledge and skills to help others.
What Are My Commitments to RSVP After I Join?
Commit to report your hours monthly. At the first of each month report your volunteer hours to RSVP. This can be done by mail, in person at the office, by phone, or by e-mail to the designated sites.
What RSVP Doesn’t Do!
RSVP staff act as facilitators and not as supervisors of volunteer activities.
